I love gone with the wind and a few years ago read the sequel although not written by Margaret Mitchell and enjoyed that too.

Anne of Green Gables could've been my twin as far as personality as a child (although I don't have red hair, I did love puffy sleeves!) and I loved that book.

A fine balance...this is my favourite book. If you see anything where I list my favourite books, you'll see that one. It was a profound thing, reading it...the minute I was done I was so emotional and outraged and shaken that I wanted to talk to someone about it. Great book club pick, I'd imagine.

Angela's Ashes was a great book. So was 'Tis, the sequel. I love Frank McCourt's writing style and couldn't book the book down from start to finish.

The Poisonwood Bible I was a little disappointed with. It just tugged at me a bit from the perspective of Christianity and left me feeling like non-Christians who would read the book would see any believer as a stark raving mad lunatic. There were elements of the story and writing that did appeal to me but overall it left a bad taste in my mouth.

The Lovely Bones was a good read.

I loved Bridget Jones Diary although wasn't overly thrilled with the movie version in contrast.

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was riveting for me as a kid with an imagination. I yearned to find that wardrobe and crawl in!

Of Mice and Men holds a special place for me because my husband and I met in a class where we read the book together and we often quote it. I used to ask to tend the rabbits but then we had pets together and kids and I no longer wanna tend the rabbits...I told him if he brings any more dang rabbits home, he can look after 'em! LOL.

I see a few books on this list I'd definitely like to read, too and one or two that are here, waiting my undivided attention but that I just haven't gotten to yet.
